Get Rich Without College - How College Dropouts Get into the Highest Paying Jobs Without a Degree

The notion that you have to finish college and get a diploma in order to get to the top and get one of the highest paying jobs may not be true for some people. Although it is true that education is an important stepping stone for us to achieve our dreams and goals in life, there are some occupations that do not require a college degree (or even a high school degree, for that matter). While it is true that graduating with flying colours will ensure a bright future, for some people, they don’t need to finish school in order to prove to the world that they can make it, get a job, get rich and make a life for themselves. The truth is: many of the highest paying jobs in america are held by people who don't have a college degree.

It’s all about talent

They say that talent cannot be bought or taught in school. They say that talent is innate in a person – and which talent is bestowed in a person is inborn (it can be purely genetic, or just pure luck in some cases). For example, a person can spend all his life studying music in order to play the piano like a true professional. But there are people who have a natural gift of music and can play any musical instrument without proper schooling. For example, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart can already play the violin and keyboard at the age of five – something that most kids of the same age cannot do. Pablo Picasso showed incredible drawing skills at an early age.

Some of the most talented artists and musicians are either high school or college drop-outs. Not to be encouraging about dropping out of school, the point is, there are some people who rely on their natural talents and abilities in order to make a living for themselves, while doing the thing that they are most capable of doing (and doing something that they love to do). Some people are lucky to be gifted with such wonderful artistic and creative talents, that sometimes they bank on these talents to conquer the world, be famous and get rich in the process. For some of them, no amount of schooling can match the fame and fortune that they have. For some of these talented people, even the highest citation from the best universities in the world cannot compare the sheer genius that they have.

It’s all about knowing what you want and going for it – no matter what

For some people, it’s all about the guts. Dropping out of school is a tough choice, and probably one of the most important decisions that a person will have to make in his life. Dropping out of college will mean throwing away all the possible opportunities that lie ahead after graduation. Dropping out of college will mean saying goodbye to the promise of a better life after that most coveted diploma. However, for some people, this is not the case. For some people, dropping out of college means chasing their dreams and going where life takes them. For them, dropping out of college opens a whole new world of possibilities (which may include both opportunities and failures) to the kind of life that they want to pursue. They may get one of the highest paying jobs without a degree, but there is also some portion of them that goes back to college or lives on their parent's basement. Dropping out of college often brings with it a huge risk and you should think twice before doing it.

Dropping out of college may cost you a college diploma, but this doesn’t mean that your life is over. For some people, their lives have only begun after dropping out of school. You can get rich without college, because at the end of the day, it’s all about guts and the belief that nothing is impossible. All you need is the determination to succeed, and the hope that everything will turn out well. Sure, there may be some setbacks (setbacks that people with a college diploma may not experience), but these setbacks will only make the elusive dream all the more worthy to pursue. And at the end of the day, when all is said and done, you will look back to that life-changing decision and realize that you can get a life without college. You can make a living without college. You can do just as well as the rest of the college graduates of the world – sometimes, even better than them. Getting a college diploma is no guarantee of a better life – you also need the determination and the willingness to succeed.

I find your blog very interesting, but I think the days of just starting a business without a liscense or certs are over. With government regulations in almost anything you do, you need that certificate document showing that your able to do your duties well, safe, and to assure the customers/clients that your legal to do the job. If you want to be a chief, you need food handeling certs, to show you will not give your customers ecoli, you need a red seal trade cert to be a plumber, electrical, wood working etc, computer it certs to service a company computer network without crashing it. A lot people are able to work will skill and quality without going to school, but cought working without certs, your business, tools, money all shutdown, face fines, and worse even jail time. Think twice what your going to do, even if you train in college still the risk of no work but gotta keep positive, Positive thinking will all get us a job right?

With the current news about the death of Steve Jobs of Apple, this hub really proves out to have been true in his life. He was one of the unique individuals that had to drop out of college to become amazingly successful. I think that may have been the case with Bill Gates, as well.
