Prevention is always better than cure. This will almost sound like a cliché, but the truth is, preventing pimples and acne is the best way to actually “cure” it. You will not have to go through all the trouble of doing home remedies and dermatologist consultations if you can actually prevent the problem from happening, right? This will certainly save you a lot of time and money – and not to mention the fact that this will save you from all the worries that acne brings. Below are some preventive measures that you may want to try and adopt. The idea is to practice these measures on a regular basis. But now that we got that straight, what exactly do you have to do? How to prevent pimples?

Proper Hygiene: Develop the Habit of Washing Your Face Regularly

Sure, we wash our face with soap and water (even expensive facial creams) but the question is, how frequent are we in washing our faces? It is common knowledge that we are exposed to harsh chemicals everyday – from the make-up we use to the environment outside – that can do damage to our skin which can eventually trigger acne breakouts. If we do not wash our faces, these little particles and bacteria will manifest themselves as acne and nasty pimples. We need to exfoliate our skin to remove dead skin cells. Exfoliating will also keep your face fresh and rejuvenated. Exfoliating products are widely available in the market, but you can also use your own home remedies of various fruits and vegetables. It is also advisable that if you must wear make-up, make sure that it matches your skin type. Harsh chemicals in make-up will only irritate the skin, causing pimple breakouts.

Body Wastes should be eliminated, not retained in the body

Body wastes inside our body can cause acne. Depending on our diet and bowel movement cycle, these body wastes can either be stored inside our body and can eventually manifest themselves as pimples. The idea is to ensure that you have regular bowel movements and should be not constipated in any way. Fiber-rich food should be included in your diet to ensure that your body will be “cleaned” of these body wastes. In the end, proper diet is still the best way to go because not only will you be able to eliminate toxic body wastes from your body, you will also benefit from the essential nutrients and minerals derived from eating right.  

Diet

It is shown that the right diet can drastically improve our skin and prevent much other deseases, from cancer to heart desease and so on. Fresh fruits and other vegetables are advisable. You should avoid eating too much sugar or other highly refined foods. Always remember to RELAX

Like most health problems, pimples are also caused by stress. While it is true that we cannot avoid stress totally, getting enough rest and sleep will help us manage our stress. It is also important to have a positive and happy outlook in life. Now you know how to prevent pimples, so lean back, relax and lead a healthy life and you can be certain that pimples won't be a part of it.
